This Eastlake, walnut ciffarobe was brought into Hander Woodworking without a base, bottom drawer, wardrobe door, mirror or top. The client requested the piece be rebuilt and restored. This required research and imagination since many pieces of the age were still built by individuals and, therefore, frequently one of a kind. Though early manufacturing was occurring during this period, this was not one and no identical piece could be found during the research. Ultimately, compiling designs of other Eastlake pieces with the lines of this piece provided Hander Woodworking with designs to adequately rebuild the missing pieces that worked with the overall Eastlake look.
