These are before and after pictures of a mahogany grandfather clock that was brought into Hander Woodworking in need of restoration. It had suffered powder post beetle damage as well as splitting and missing wood. Despite the poor quality of the photos, one can see the repair of the large crack in the base, including the intricately designed solid brass dial and finales on the hood as well as the decorative brass, spiral posts. The clock was given to the client by a close friend who had passed away and when she received the finished piece it stirred very strong emotions for her.
