In February of 1974, at age fifteen, Paul Hander began working with Max Karas, a German master craftsman. Four years later Paul started Hander Furniture Repair in his parent's garage. In 1980 he moved into a shop and operated Hander Woodworking at that location until August of 2008. In 2008 Mr. Hander moved to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Though much has changed during the three decades since Paul began Hander Woodworking, two things have remained constant, Hander Woodworking's courteous, open atmosphere and mostly, their driving desire for top quality work.
